  1. Limit your school work to a set time. While I would love to say not to work on the weekend at all, I know that’s not realistic for all teachers every weekend. If you do need to some work before the week starts, set a time limit so it doesn’t take over your whole day.

  2. Go for a walk. Getting outside is a great way to clear your head!

  3. Lay out your outfit for tomorrow. This simple task can make you feel more prepared for the week ahead!

  4. Say affirmations. You can find some here, plus more in my book, The Teacher’s Guide to Self-Care.

  5. Limit caffeine. I know, I know. But at least try to just stick to your morning coffee. If you’re drinking coffee all afternoon, it’s only going to make you more anxious about the week to come.

  6. Write in your journal. Try reflecting on the past week or setting goals for the week to come to feel more at peace.

  7. Take a bath. I take a bath every Sunday night. It’s a great way to begin the week relaxed instead of stressed out!
